Something is preventing the Untangle box from acting as my gateway.I can't ping an internal address from untangle with only the internal card plugged in. I also can't remotely access (or even ping) the Untangle box from another machine. The firewall log only shows my RDP connection attempts. Is there somewhere in Untangle that I need to point to my PDC which handles my DNS? I'll check the logs from my initial setup/testing last night.ĮDIT: The logs don't show any traffic whatsoever. When the Untangle box is connected internally, I'm not getting any sessions or any activity from the network to the box at all. If I set it to DHCP it'll automatically find the same static addreses that I enter in manually, so everything should be ok with that. All the WAN addresses are correct since the Untangle box can reach the internet. (Sophos has limits on the resources for the free version of XG). I forgot how much config/setup and how far down the rabbit hole you can go with pf sense, and sophos had me chasing stuff to whitelist all the time on top of pegging its VM resources pretty hard.

The Content Control Module will restrict user access. I went from a USG Pro to pfsense, then untangle, Sophos XG, and finally back to the USG.
